Principal's Corner

brownMrs. Tina Brown has been the principal at Marshall High School since the summer of 2014. The 2017-2018 school year marks the 35th year in public education for Mrs. Brown.

Mrs. Brown spent two years in MISD as the principal at South Marshall Elementary from 2012-2014 prior to becoming principal at MHS. During those two years she played an integral role in preparing South Marshall to serve as the district's STEM campus.

Before Marshall, Mrs. Brown served as a principal in Fort Bend ISD for 12 years. Her resume includes professional stops in Texas, Florida and Oklahoma.

Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Texas A&M University. Her husband, Dr. Joseph D. Brown, is a Professor of Kinesiology and serves as the Dean of the Frank S. Groner School of Professional Students at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall.

"Marshall High School is the best high school in East Texas and in the state," Mrs. Brown says proudly. "Our kids do great things and it is only going to continue to get better. Our goal at MHS is to work together as a family to help students achieve greatness."
